It's About Time!
This website on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history is directed by historian Jonathan Ned Katz, coordinated by Lynley Wheaton, and produced by The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center. It is funded in 2007-2008 by a grant from the Arcus Foundation. For more about OutHistory.org, see About.

Discuss
As an experiment in history by the people, all users can explore the site and comment on it using the "Discuss" option on the Main Page top bar. Users can also comment on a particular entry by using the "Discuss” section of that entry. Users can also edit, add to, and improve any entry without a named author or curator. Practice editing in the Sandbox.
Provide Content
Site content can also be provided by anyone with data and citations to share. To contribute data, citations, and edits see Participate which explains how to create and edit entries, submit documents and citations, and offer help with research, copyediting, administration, graphic design, etc.
Fill in Stubs and Research Requests
Users can also search Stub Categories (a list of all entries for which there is no or little content) and begin to fill them in. Users can also search Stub Articles. Users may also search Research Requests, and provide the desired information.
