<Draft. NOTE FROM JONATHAN TO LYNLEY, This is a draft of the content for the “Participate” link.

The “Ways to Participate” links list also requires some other content.

We need to make a final decision about how free we should start out being in letting people create whatever content they want.

Should we plan to start out being as free as Wikipedia in allowing people to create content.  This is appealing because it will encourage content creation.

On the other hand, I am terrified that we will immediately be overwhelmed by junk entries and homophobic entries, and that we will not have the person power to police the site.

My idea is that users can freely discuss the site or discuss a content, but they have to submit or offer an entry which we can accept or reject.  Lynley, did you have a different idea about this? Did you think we should be freerer in allowing users to post content entries?  I am afraid that we will loose quality control of the site, and that free user postings will create too much work for us to supervise and look over.>
