To make a link to another OutHistory.org page in edit mode, write the name of the page you want to link to within double brackets. For example:

Lesbians in the Twentieth Century

This is how it will appear on your web page:

Lesbians in the Twentieth Century

If you want don't want to write the name of the OutHistory page in your article, simply add your new title preceded by a pipe | after the link but within the brackets like this:

Lesbians

Which will look like this on your web page:

Lesbians

If you want to create a link to an external website you must type the entire URL on your web page:

http://www.actuporalhistory.org/

Which will show up on your web page like this:

http://www.actuporalhistory.org/

If you don't want to display the URL on your web page, simply write the word you want to serve as the link after the URL and encase both within single brackets like this:

ACT UP

Which will appear like this on your web page:

ACT UP

If you want to redirect one article title to another, you can do so by placing a directive like the one shown below to the right on the first line of the article (such as at a page titled "USA").

#REDIRECT United States

It is even possible to redirect to a section of a page. For example:

#REDIRECT [[United States#History|United
States History]]
