Anthony Gonzeles is a remarkable artist, forget the tag Gay Artist. he is an artist, period, who captures the world of NYC as as perfectly as anyone working today.
I had the good fortune of attending the opening reception of Mr. Gonzales's exhibition at Chi Chiz in 2009.
My BF, who is Black (I am white), was so very impressed with how the Gay man of color was portrayed with such warmth and wit and passion.
Mr Gonzales is a man to be reckoned with in the artistic community. The trick is amking certain that he is not slotted into the narrow frame of the Gay Artist.
