About The Lesbian Herstory Archives Button Collection
The lesbian buttons online exhibit was created through the collaboration of OutHistory and The Lesbian Herstory Archives. The buttons were scanned at TIFF format and then converted into JPEG for web browsing. The subject terms in the metadata was assigned based on The Thesaurus for Graphic Materials (TGM) . Customization was made for lesbian's terms and vocabularies. This online exhibit was created by an intern, Kam Yan (Teresa) Lee from OutHistory, under the supervision of OutHistory Project Coordinator and The Lesbian Herstory Archives.
