In New York City during 1967 Illustrator / Graphic Designer Jim French (aka: Rip Colt, Lüger, Colt) and Lou Thomas (aka: Jon Target) joined to form Colt Studio. Together they market photography, illustrations and produce a line of publications that include: Manpower! and Gallery. State of Man Productions is also introduced at this time. They also start to produce 8mm Film loops marketed under the Colt Studio name. in 1972 French and Thomas part ways.
