OutHistory.org: It's About Time!

OutHistory.org, is the prototype in development of a website about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history. It's directed by historian Jonathan Ned Katz, coordinated by Lynley Wheaton, and produced by The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center. It's funded by a two-year grant (2007-2008) from the Arcus Foundation]. For more about OutHistory.org, see About.

Content To date, OutHistory has 2,488 articles.

The content of this site is solicited from and volunteered by researchers and scholars. It is also provided by anyone with data to share. OutHistory.org is, in part, an experiment in history by the people. All users can explore the site and comment on it using the "Discuss" option on the top bar. Users can comment on a particular entry by using the "Discuss” section of each entry. To contribute data to the site users should look at the Participate page and find out how to create entries, submit documents, and offer research, copyediting, administrative, graphic design, and other skills.
