At the time, the program claimed to be able to successfully 'cure' individuals of their sinful addiction to homosexuality. Shortly after the program's founding, Kent Philpott wrote The Third Sex?, in which he described the 'successful' techniques he used to achieve the conversion of six men from homosexuality to heterosexuality.
