Riley's Health Club was the one of the first gym's in San Francisco that catered to a gay crowd. By 1974 it had changed its name to Golden Gate Health Club. Located at 48 Golden Gate Avenue, it can be seen as leading the way of the Clone culture that swept through the city during the seventies. It was an actual gym, not one of the many Gay Bathhouses in San Francisco during that time.
