O'Connor, Maureen. "Married GOP Congressman Sent Sexy Pictures to Craigslist Babe".
- Christopher Lee, Republican-New York., resigned from Congress in the wake of an embarrassing web posting that the married, two-term, social-conservative congressman had replied to a personal ad on Craigslist with a shirtless photo of himself.
- Lee was known for supporting "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (discriminating against homosexuals in the military) and he voted to reject federal abortion funding, suggesting his interest in publicly scrutinizing of others' sex lives.
- In 2009, Lee wrote an op-ed warning teenagers that the Internet can be perilous, because "private information and images can so easily be transmitted to friends and strangers alike."
