A History Discovered

Welcome to the Gay History Wiki, a project organized and written by Dale Sheldon. Mr. Sheldon has been studying LGBT history since his own coming out in 1999 and will use this project as a repository for his findings. Unlike most Wiki's, this is not a collaborative project. This is due to the sensitive nature of the information, allowing a higher level of information integrity, so that it is not contaminated by the views of individuals of varying propagandist ideals. Mr. Sheldon will attempt to keep to the facts as much as possible, but it must also be understood that some "reading between the lines" is required when searching for the history of LGBT community. We do invite everyone to view the files and encourage any questions, comments or suggestions you may have.

Geography

This page is where I am going to organize a chronological history of events by geographic location. All locations are organized by current boarders, not historical ones, in order to keep the list simple and easy for those unfamiliar with the name changes of various countries. Since the majority of my research takes place in the United States and Canada, each state and province for these countries will be listed separately.
