Bio Pam Spaulding was born in Durham North Carolina on July 8, 1963. In 1976, she moved to Hollis, York with her parents. She attending high school at Stuyvesant High School in Bedford-Stuyvesant New York where she graduated in 1981. She received a degree in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University in 1985. After several years working and living in New York, Spaulding decided to get away from the overpopulated and busy cities of New York and returned to her hometown of Durham, North Carolina. She began working for Duke University Press and an IT manager in September of 1993. Later, she met and fell in love with Catharine Kassouf of Birmingham Alamaba. In 2004, she and Kate traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where were legally married. Spaulding continues to live and work in Durham with her dogs and wife.


Contributions 

In 2004, Pam created her blog which she called Pamshouseblend where she discusses her opinions and frustrations on the upcoming elections and issues she has regarding her life as a lesbian. Over the years, this site has grown to cover political issues regarding LGBT issues in NC and around the world. In addition, Spaulding posts regularly about her personal life, pets, wife, and day to day life. According to Spaulding, she never expected "the blend" to be so widely read. However, her site grew to average 215,000 visitors and 418,000 page views a month. [2]
