I went to see this manuscript at the National Library of Medicine in 2006 and was thrilled to see what appear to be Werther's own typescript and handwriting. Sadly there is no separate correspondence with Victor Robinson in the files and we are as far from identifying Werther's true name as ever. While much of the manuscript repeats material in the earlier two volumes, the chapter on voyeurism is wonderfully fresh and the description of cruising Central Park a unique testament of its period.
