John D'Emilio has given OutHistory permission to reprint numbers of his out of print and previously published essays that reflect on the writing of LGBTQ History. They will be scanned and posted as soon as time permits. The material includes:

Allan Berube's Gift to History


Jonathan Ned Katz has given OutHistory permission to publish a number of original, never-before-published essays, and all of the out of print, out of copyright material in his books Jonathan Ned Katz, Gay American History: Lesbians and Gay Men in the U.S.A. (NY: Crowell, 1976) and Jonathan Ned Katz, Gay/Lesbian Almanac (NY: Harper & Row, 1983). This includes all out of copyright material on:

African Americans
American colonial era
cross-dressing men and women
marriage and homosexuality
military service and homosexuality

Republication of Katz's works will include:
