Dear Charlie:--
I came home last night and find your letter. If you can’t come a day or two later
do come tomorrow Monday. We have several people in the house but we have
room enough. We would rather have you alone of course [page 2] but otherwise
it makes little difference. As we sometimes have difficulty with horses etc. it will
be best for you to wire to Railway Hotel Evesham for fly to take you to
Broadway. We can send you back. In case you don’t wire just run up to the
Railway Hotel near by the station and interview Miss Saunders who is the
proprietor & a very nice girl. There are the athletic sports in the field back of our [page 3] house on Wednesday and twill be well worth seeing – such events are rare in the country. Wire us when you will come. I don’t know where James [note: Henry James] is now. He often comes down here.
