Wisconsin LGBT History SIDEBAR
Gay and Lesbian Organizations in Wisconsin, 1969-2010
Wisconsin has held a diverse collection of LGBT Organizations in the years since Stonewall. This page is the starting point for an ongoing attempt to list all of the LGBT organizations known to have existed throughout Wisconsin since Stonewall (1969-2010). This is an early list, and is far from comprehensive or complete-- but gives some indication of major organizations, and a taste for the diversity of groups that have formed in Wisconsin over the years. Any information to fill in gaps is most welcome.
The Wisconsin LGBT History Project web site lists all of these organizations, and for many of them individual web pages exist, with detailed information, photographs, sample newsletters and other literature over the years. Visit the web site at http://www.WisconsinGayHistory.org.
